NEW SERVICES: English Tutoring & Writer Coaching

 

I’m excited to announce that I am now offering English tutoring and coaching services for students, business professionals, and creative writers at all stages and skill levels! I also offer proofreading and editing services for academic, professional, and creative work and content creation services for small businesses.

TUTORING SERVICES

Essay Help: I can help students at all levels to organize, draft, format, proofread, and edit academic work, including proper citations under common style guides such as MLA and APA. This service includes assistance with admissions essays and personal statements for undergrad and graduate programs as well as with assigned academic work at the secondary and collegiate levels.

Test Prep: I can help students to study and strategize for the English/verbal and written portions of exams such as the SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, and LSAT. I can also help students at the secondary and collegiate levels to study for English Language Arts, English Literature, and English Composition class exams. Please note that this service is limited to the English/verbal and written portions of exams. I am not able to assist with non-English subjects.

Analytical Reading Skills: I can help students strengthen their reading comprehension by exercising critical and analytical reading skills in non-fiction, fiction, drama, and poetry.

English Grammar Skills: I can help both native and ESL/ELL speakers strengthen their English reading and writing skills with reviews of and practice with English grammar.

Business Writing: I can help both native and ESL/ELL speakers with business-focused English reading and writing practice. This includes reviews of English grammar and assistance with reading, drafting, and proofreading business documents including application materials, letters and emails, and memos.

COACHING SERVICES

Writer Coaching: I am able to provide support and guidance to writers of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. This service is geared towards writers preparing manuscripts for self-publication or querying, but is also available for writers looking to establish a regular writing practice and seeking to expand and strengthen their craft.

Public Speaking: I am able to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for clients to grow their confidence and hone their public speaking skills. This service may be helpful for business professionals taking on leadership roles, writers looking to publicly perform their work, students preparing to defend theses, ESL/ELL speakers looking to improve their English speaking skills, and anyone who wishes to build their confidence and lessen anxiety when speaking in front of crowds.

Mock Employment Interviews: I am available to conduct and provide feedback on mock employment interviews to assist those entering or re-entering the workforce. This service is similar to my public speaking services, but is specifically focused to give the client an opportunity to practice responding to common interview questions and receive personalized feedback to improve interview skills and increase confidence.

EDITING SERVICES

I am available to proofread and edit creative, academic, and professional work including but not limited to:

  • fiction, non-fiction, & poetry

  • job application materials including resumes and cover letters

  • admissions essays and personal statements

  • web and social media content for small businesses

I use track changes while editing all documents and provide clients with detailed edit reports explaining all changes and suggestions made.

CONTENT CREATION

I am able to provide web content including website copy, blog posts, advertising copy, and social media content for small businesses.

Tutoring and coaching sessions are held virtually via GoogleMeet. I am located in Florida, and all meetings will be scheduled during daytime hours in the Eastern Time Zone.

In-person sessions are limited to the Bradenton/Sarasota area.
