Grady Hendrix is a master of quirky horror, and HOW TO SELL A HAUNTED HOUSE is a true testament to that.
Read MoreSIGN HERE feels something akin to Grady Hendrix taking on Johannes Cabal and I am 100% here for it. Claudia Lux is a firecracker and if her debut is this good, I can’t wait to see what else she has up her sleeve!
Read MoreTOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW is nothing short of a masterpiece. Gabrielle Zevin has outdone herself with this one.
Read MoreTHE HONEYS is a trip, man. Ryan La Sala markets his latest YA horror/thriller as Heathers (1988) meets Midsommar (2019) and I think that description is pretty apt.
Read MoreI’ve seen some conflicting opinions about HIDE, but I truly had a blast with this book!
Read MoreI wanted to love this book, but if I’m honest, I really struggled with THE PALLBEARERS CLUB.
Read MoreESCAPING THE BODY is simple, vulnerable, beautiful. Chloe N. Clark blends mythology and natural imagery, space and magic, history and personality and honesty to dig deep into the spaces between our ribs and the silences between our words.
Read MoreEROS & THANATOS is a gorgeous collection of absolutely beautiful, heartfelt (and sometimes heartbreaking) work by incredible talented writers. The themes of love and death are strong throughout, tying each piece together. The mix of traditional and modern gothic settings was quite refreshing, and many of the stories took bold steps in blending and playing with different genres to tell deeply emotional stories of love and loss.

I’m fortunate to work in an industry populated by talented, badass women writing powerful, poignant books
Read MoreTHE SURRENDER THEORY is a stunning debut and beautiful exploration of grief, of love, of loss, of growth and of everything in between. Caitlin Conlon is a true gift. This collection is intimate and vulnerable, blending poignant pop culture references and personal anecdotes to peel back the layers of growing in- and alongside loss.
Read MoreTHE VIOLENCE is, at its core, a story of survival and a testament to maternal love. Dawson tackles generational trauma and cycles of abuse in this harrowing tale of three women thrust into the fight of their lives. The book has echoes of a zombie dystopia, but the dead don't rise here. Instead, the living are infected by a dangerous disease that causes them to brutally attack those around them.
